Special Session 13
STRUCTURAL CRASHWORTHINESS AND IMPACT (SS13)


Structural crashworthiness and impact session treats the behaviour of material and structures under large deformation effects due to the various loading conditions. This session primarily focuses on the nonlinear behaviour of crashworthy structures namely thin-walled tubular structures, light-weight structures, metalic foam, polymeric foam, cellular material and honeycomb under impact loading. Discussion on this topic could be a platform for sharing advanced analysis technique and constitutive modelling of materials in evaluating crashworthiness performance in structural design for automotives, aviation and marine industries.
